God’s prophetic plan for YOU

A short story

God's Prophetic Plan for YOU today

If you’ve decided to believe that God is real and that Jesus Christ rose from the dead, you may be wondering how to redefine your path and purpose in life now. The Bible is full of Scriptures called prophecies that can help you understand how Christ is central to faith and life, as well as orient your understanding of world events.

Why bible prophecy should matter to you right now

Since 2020, Bible prophecy is more relevant to today’s generation than ever. The world is going crazier, darker, and more confusing every year, with a pace of technological development that has us all feeling overwhelmed and a bit disturbed.

What does the Bible have to say about all this?

And what do all these things have to do with you?

This article will help equip you with a framework to begin making sense of current events, using the Word as a standard, a compass, and the source of strength you need.

What is Bible prophecy?

God revealing the future to prove He’s in control

The simplest definition of Bible prophecy is this: God showing what will happen before it happens.

There are also two types of Bible prophecy:

  • Already fulfilled (proving God’s Word is true),
  • And yet to be fulfilled (giving us hope and direction)

When prophecies come true with precise detail, we can trust God with the future. Isn’t that wonderfully reassuring?

Jesus Christ: The ultimate proof that prophecy is real

Over 300 prophecies pointed to One Person

For more precise context, Jesus fulfilled over 300 specific prophecies written by multiple prophets across more than 1,000 years of history. The mathematician Peter W. Stoner, working with over 600 college students, calculated that the probability of just one man accidentally fulfilling only 8 of these prophecies is 1 in 10¹⁷ (that’s 1 in 100 quadrillion).

To visualize this: imagine covering the entire state of Texas two feet deep in silver dollars, marking one, mixing them thoroughly, then having a blindfolded person pick the right one on their first try. That’s how statistically impossible it would be for Jesus to fulfil even 8 prophecies by chance—yet He fulfilled over 300!

Key prophecies Jesus fulfilled

Here is a brief overview of some of the key prophecies Jesus fulfilled:

  • Born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)
  • Born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14)
  • Betrayed for 30 pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12-13)
  • Crucifixion details – pierced hands and feet (Psalm 22)
  • Would rise from the dead (Psalm 16:10)

What does this mean?

If Jesus fulfilled past prophecies perfectly, we can trust future prophecies will come true too. This proves the Bible is divinely inspired, not just a human book. Moreover, if Jesus is God and displayed His sovereignty with such precision and care in the flow of world history as detailed through Scripture and many other historical records, it means you would have good reason to trust Him with your own life.

Where are we on God’s timeline? Understanding today’s world

Israel: God’s prophetic clock

God's prophetic plan for you

Originally, when God called Abraham and brought forth the nation of Israel and its 12 tribes through his lineage, God had intended for them to make known the glory of God to all nations, to draw all people unto Him.

Israel failed in this, becoming proud, breaking their covenant with God to follow after idols and chose kings who often also derailed the nation into idolatry, bondage, and eventually exile all over the world. In the meantime, Christ was born, died for the sins of Israel and all the world, was resurrected, and ascended to the Father, sending His Holy Spirit to empower the apostles and all who would believe in Him thereafter.

Then, Israel became a nation again in 1948 after 2,000 years—as prophesied in Ezekiel 37. Events in Israel mark God’s timeline; Jesus will return there. Current events surrounding Israel are fulfilling end-time prophecies as detailed in Daniel and Revelation, even now.

Signs Jesus said to watch for (Matthew 24)

  • Wars and rumors of wars
  • Earthquakes, famines, and pestilences (pandemics)
  • False prophets and spiritual deception
  • Persecution of believers worldwide
  • The Gospel preached to all nations (now possible through technology)
  • Lawlessness and love growing cold
  • Knowledge and travel increasing (Daniel 12:4)

Connect these to current events. Is this not our world right now? All of these signs are shown across every social media platform, manipulated on mainstream media for twisted agendas, and provoking everyone to consider what it all means, and why it matters. Without God, it may seem hopeless. But in Him, all these things will come to a head, and He will execute justice over it all — the kind that we crave and yet cannot find in flawed, human leaders.

How to respond: Finding your purpose in prophetic times

Don’t be afraid—be prepared

Jesus said, “When these things begin to take place…your redemption is drawing near” (Luke 21:28). Prophecy is meant to give hope and help you stand firm, not create fear.

What God wants you to do

What does preparation look like? It looks like walking with God, reading His Word, learning to listen to His voice daily, and building an intimate relationship with Him. He will guide you into all wisdom in all things if you lean on, rely on, and depend on Him for your very life.

Follow these practical steps to ground yourself in truth, peace, and faith:

  • Get to know Him through prayer and Scripture.
  • Share the Gospel—time is short.
  • Live with eternity in mind.
  • Be a light in dark times.
  • Stand firm in faith no matter what happens..

Your purpose for such a time as this

You weren’t born in this era by accident. The book of Esther in the Bible will help you understand what is meant by this statement. In short, you can have an impact right where you are, in your sphere of influence.

You can be a shining light of truth for Him! God has equipped you to demonstrate His love and truth in challenging times, to show others what to do and how to be saved while the world drowns in darkness and the agendas of man.

Your purpose: to know Him, make Him known, and help others find hope.

God's plan for you

The ultimate promise: Jesus is coming back

Are you ready?

Christ’s return will be the beginning of Him setting everything right. 1 Thess 4:16-17; 1 Cor 15:51-52. We who believe will go and be with Him until the prophecies of the end time in Revelation regarding events on the earth are completed, namely the false world peace agreement put in place by the antichrist and his false prophet, many more plagues and destruction of the earth, the last martyrs, the final witnesses, and the end of grace on earth.

Ultimately, the Lord will complete the final judgment of all people and all things, and each one will receive his reward in accordance with his works. In this phase, you, as a child of God, will see the fullness of Christ’s work on the cross for you, His sins having washed away all your sins, leaving you clean and free of guilt before Him! How fantastic! Finally, in the end, there will be no more pain, death, or injustice. Scripture promises this in Rev 21:4 and Isa 11:4-5 and other verses. We will participate in the best celebration of all time!

Friend, with God, you need not fear what man can do to you. You can look forward to all things made right, a new heaven and a new earth, and an eternity with the One who formed and loved your soul before you were even conceived.

If Jesus returned today, do you know Him?

It’s not about being perfect or sinless when He comes. You can do nothing without Him. Instead, it’s about being His—knowing that you are His, letting Him be Lord in your life and lead and instruct you in the way you should go (Ps 32:8). He is eager and willing to help you, just as He did to all who asked Him for help in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

Live with confidence, not fear

Prophecy proves God’s Word is true, which means you’re living in significant times with a divine purpose. There is meaning—in Him—and you matter, you are part of God’s plan. He has a plan for YOUR life, both in this world and in the next (Jer 29:11).

The story isn’t over yet—God is inviting you to be part of what He is doing in these days. Will you follow Him?
